Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and visionary Cloud Architect with a strong focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our dynamic team in Auburndale, Newton. Your expertise will be crucial in translating complex business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure cloud architectures. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of cloud solutions, from initial concept and design through deployment and ongoing optimization. This includes selecting appropriate AWS services, designing highly available and fault-tolerant systems, ensuring data security and compliance, and implementing cost-effective solutions. This role demands a deep understanding of core AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, EKS, and various networking and security components. You will be instrumental in advocating for and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, and automating deployment pipelines with CI/CD methodologies. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, highly available, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures on AWS.
- Develop and maintain architectural standards, policies, and best practices for AWS environments.
- Lead the migration of existing on-premise applications and infrastructure to AWS.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation) for automated provisioning and configuration.
- Ensure the security, compliance, and disaster recovery aspects of cloud solutions.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers.
- Monitor cloud performance, optimize resource utilization, and manage AWS costs effectively.
- Stay abreast of new AWS services and cloud computing trends to recommend innovative solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering, with a strong focus on AWS.
- Expert-level knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, ECS/EKS).
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, routing, security groups, NACLs).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to design and implement highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable solutions.
- Demonstrated experience with cloud security best practices and compliance (e.g., CIS Benchmarks, GDPR).
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
- Knowledge of other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Experience with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, API Gateway).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
