Job Description

Childline Zimbabwe is seeking a highly motivated Remote Digital Fundraising Strategy Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in developing, implementing, and optimizing our online fundraising initiatives, helping us secure vital resources to expand our child protection services throughout Zimbabwe. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive digital fundraising strategies and campaigns (e.g., social media appeals, email marketing, crowdfunding initiatives).
- Conduct thorough research on digital fundraising best practices, emerging trends, and innovative donor engagement platforms specific to the non-profit sector.
- Support the creation of compelling and engaging digital content, including stories of impact, videos, infographics, and social media posts, optimized for various online channels.
- Monitor and meticulously analyze the performance of digital fundraising campaigns using relevant analytics tools, providing regular reports and actionable recommendations for optimization.
- Manage and accurately update donor databases and CRM systems, ensuring precise tracking of contributions, donor interactions, and effective communication segmentation.
- Help maintain and actively grow Childline Zimbabwe's online presence across key social media platforms and ensure the organizational website is up-to-date with fundraising-related content.
- Collaborate effectively with the communications and programs teams to ensure consistent messaging, branding, and storytelling across all digital fundraising efforts.
- Identify, research, and assist in cultivating relationships with online communities, digital influencers, corporate partners, and potential digital ambassadors to expand reach.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (2+ years) in digital marketing, online fundraising, or communications, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with various digital platforms (social media management, email marketing tools, crowdfunding sites, basic SEO principles).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives and persuasive calls to action.
- Proficiency in using analytical tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights) to track campaign performance, interpret data, and generate actionable insights.
- Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark, or similar) for creating visually appealing digital content.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively in a remote team environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Demonstrated passion for child protection, human rights, and humanitarian work.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Experience with CRM software specifically used for donor management (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, or similar systems).
- Familiarity with the Zimbabwean non-profit sector, local donor landscape, and cultural nuances in communication.
- Fluency in Shona or Ndebele, in addition to English, is highly advantageous.
