Career.zycto is actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Day Shift Janitorial Supervisor to join our dynamic team in South Edmonton, Edmonton. This pivotal full-time role operates during regular week shifts, offering a stable and consistent schedule for a leader committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and facility presentation. As our Janitorial Supervisor, you will be the cornerstone of our day-to-day operations, overseeing and inspiring a team of janitorial staff to deliver exceptional results across various sites within the South Edmonton area.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and motivate a team of janitorial staff during day shifts, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
- Develop and implement daily work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure efficient workflow.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and adherence to company and client specifications.
- Oversee inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed and ensuring proper storage and maintenance.
- Address and resolve any cleaning-related issues or complaints from clients in a timely and professional manner.
- Enforce all safety protocols and procedures, conducting regular safety briefings and training sessions.
- Perform hands-on cleaning duties as required, especially during staff shortages or for specialized tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, performance, and supply usage.
- Provide regular performance feedback and conduct annual reviews for team members.
- Collaborate with management to improve operational efficiency and implement best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the janitorial or facilities management sector.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
- Proficiency in safety regulations and procedures (WHMIS, OH&S).
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and communication.
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
- Certification in cleaning services or facilities management.
- Experience with commercial cleaning software or scheduling tools.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
