Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and skilled Residential Estate Maintenance Staff to join a vibrant community in Oshodi-Isolo, Lagos. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and general fixtures within the residential estate.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests from residents, addressing issues such as minor repairs, leaks, electrical faults, and appliance malfunctions.
- Conduct daily inspections of common areas, including lobbies, hallways, recreational facilities, and exterior grounds, identifying and resolving potential hazards or maintenance needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all facilities, assisting with waste management, sweeping, mopping, and ensuring proper disposal procedures are followed.
- Oversee the proper functioning of essential utilities, including water supply, electricity, and security systems, escalating complex issues to specialized technicians as needed.
- Assist with landscaping and gardening tasks, ensuring green spaces are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing.
- Execute minor renovation tasks, painting, plastering, and general upkeep to preserve the aesthetic appeal and structural integrity of the property.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of tools and supplies.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for self and residents.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, communicating clearly and professionally regarding maintenance progress and resolutions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in general maintenance or facilities management, preferably within a residential or commercial setting.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a resident-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and carrying.
