Job Description

Bomet County Farmers Sacco Society Ltd is seeking a dedicated and proactive Remote CRM Data Hygiene Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this fully remote role, you will be the guardian of our customer relationship management (CRM) system’s data integrity, ensuring that all member information is accurate, up-to-date, and consistently formatted. Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver personalized financial services, maintain strong member relationships, and comply with regulatory standards.
Working independently from a remote location, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and reliability of our CRM data. This includes identifying and resolving data discrepancies, standardizing entries, merging duplicate records, and implementing robust data quality processes. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including Member Services, Lending, and Marketing, to understand their data needs and ensure the CRM serves as a single source of truth for all member interactions. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular, comprehensive audits of CRM data to identify inconsistencies, errors, and opportunities for improvement in data quality.
- Perform data cleansing, normalization, and de-duplication activities across the CRM system to ensure the highest level of accuracy and integrity.
- Develop, implement, and enforce data governance policies and procedures for CRM data entry, maintenance, and usage.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams (e.g., Member Services, Sales, Marketing) to establish and promote best practices for data input and usage, ensuring consistency and completeness.
- Monitor key data quality metrics, generate regular reports on data hygiene status, and present insights and recommendations for ongoing improvement initiatives.
- Provide training and ongoing support to CRM users on data entry standards, system functionalities, and data hygiene best practices to minimize future data quality issues.
- Manage and oversee data imports and exports, ensuring proper mapping, validation, and reconciliation to prevent data corruption or loss.
- Stay abreast of CRM system updates, new features, and industry best practices related to data management, security, and hygiene, recommending relevant enhancements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues within the CRM, working closely with IT support as needed.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in CRM data management, administration, or data hygiene roles (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho CRM, Sage CRM).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify complex data patterns, anomalies, and root causes of data quality issues.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
- Proficiency in data manipulation tools, including advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, pivot tables, conditional formatting, data validation) and potentially basic SQL.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment with minimal supervision.
- Solid understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, local Kenyan data protection laws) and best practices for data security and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Certification in a major CRM platform (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Fundamentals, Zoho CRM Administrator).
- Experience with business intelligence or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense).
- Knowledge of SQL or other query languages for advanced data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Previous experience working specifically within the financial services, banking, or cooperative (SACCO) sector in Kenya.
