Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Practitioner specializing in Infant Care to join our vibrant team in Downtown, Lansing. As an Infant Care Nursery Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in the early development journey of children aged 0-18 months. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, responsive care to infants, including feeding, changing, soothing, and comforting.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate, stimulating activities that promote cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
- Observe and accurately document infants' daily routines, developmental milestones, and any concerns, communicating effectively with parents/guardians.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment, adhering strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Foster positive relationships with families, offering support, guidance, and maintaining open lines of communication regarding their child's progress and needs.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure a cohesive and supportive childcare environment.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and relevant licensing standards for childcare facilities.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of infant development stages and age-appropriate care practices.
- Exceptional patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with infants.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain immediately upon hire).
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
- Excellent observational skills to monitor and assess infant well-being and development.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare setting, specifically with infants (0-18 months).
- Certification or specialized training in infant care and development.
- Familiarity with Michigan childcare licensing standards and regulations.
