Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the initial triage and analysis of security alerts and events from various sources (e.g., SIEM, EDR).
- Accurately document incident details, findings, and remediation steps in accordance with established procedures.
- Support senior incident responders in ongoing investigations, containment efforts, and eradication activities.
- Monitor security dashboards and tools for suspicious activity and potential threats.
- Contribute to post-incident review and 'lessons learned' sessions to improve future incident handling.
- Participate in the development and refinement of incident response playbooks and standard operating procedures.
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, trends, and defensive technologies.
- Perform basic vulnerability scanning and assist in the analysis of scan results.
- Collaborate effectively with IT, networking, and development teams during incident resolution.
Required Skills
- Foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles (e.g., networking, operating systems, common attack vectors).
