Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently transport patients to and from surgical suites, recovery areas, and other hospital departments, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Assist with patient transfers and positioning on operating tables, ensuring patient comfort and dignity.
  • Move and set up surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies within the operating rooms as directed by nursing or surgical staff.
  • Manage the logistical flow of clean and soiled equipment, ensuring timely delivery and removal from surgical areas.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and adequately stocked work environment within the surgical unit.
  • Respond promptly to requests for assistance from medical staff, demonstrating excellent communication and prioritization skills.
  • Replenish medical and surgical supplies, verifying inventory and reporting shortages.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of operating rooms between procedures.
  • Adhere strictly to infection control, safety, and hospital policies and procedures.
