Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport patients to and from surgical suites, recovery areas, and other hospital departments, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist with patient transfers and positioning on operating tables, ensuring patient comfort and dignity.
- Move and set up surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies within the operating rooms as directed by nursing or surgical staff.
- Manage the logistical flow of clean and soiled equipment, ensuring timely delivery and removal from surgical areas.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and adequately stocked work environment within the surgical unit.
- Respond promptly to requests for assistance from medical staff, demonstrating excellent communication and prioritization skills.
- Replenish medical and surgical supplies, verifying inventory and reporting shortages.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of operating rooms between procedures.
- Adhere strictly to infection control, safety, and hospital policies and procedures.
