Job Description

Career.zycto is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and eager individual to join our team as a Carpenter Apprentice. This is a unique chance to learn the foundational skills of residential carpentry from experienced professionals, working on diverse and exciting projects across the Eastlake, Thornton area.
As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will be an integral part of our construction team, working alongside seasoned carpenters on various residential building sites. Your journey will begin with mastering basic tasks, understanding tool safety, and developing a strong work ethic essential for success in the trade. We understand that everyone starts somewhere, which is why we’ve designed this apprenticeship to provide comprehensive, hands-on training from day one. You’ll gain practical experience in framing, trim work, siding installation, and much more, all while contributing to the creation of high-quality homes.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled carpenters with various tasks on residential construction sites.
- Learn to safely and proficiently use hand tools and power tools under direct supervision.
- Help with site preparation, material handling, and keeping the work area clean and organized.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, and other materials.
- Assist with the installation of framing, windows, doors, trim, and other building components.
- Perform general labor tasks as required to support the construction team.
- Actively participate in on-the-job training and learning opportunities.
Required Skills
- Willingness and eagerness to learn the carpentry trade.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of mathematics (measurement, addition, subtraction).
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.

Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Prior experience with basic hand tools (hammer, tape measure, level) is a plus, but not required.
