Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking an exceptionally talented and visionary Music Producer to lead a pivotal studio project at our Boksburg facility. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with a deep understanding of audio aesthetics, production workflow, and creative direction to shape the sound of our upcoming ventures. As a Music Producer, you will be the creative and technical cornerstone of the project, responsible for overseeing all stages of music production from initial concept development to final master delivery. Your role will involve close collaboration with artists, engineers, and other stakeholders, ensuring that the artistic vision is not only realized but elevated to its highest potential. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the entire music production lifecycle for assigned studio projects, from pre-production to mastering.
  • Collaborate closely with artists to define and refine their artistic vision, translating concepts into compelling sonic realities.
  • Oversee recording sessions, providing direction to musicians and vocalists, and ensuring optimal performance and sound capture.
  • Arrange, compose, and contribute creatively to tracks, including instrumentation, melodies, harmonies, and overall structure.
  • Manage audio mixing and editing processes, ensuring high-quality, professional-grade output that meets industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including session notes, asset management, and intellectual property records.
  • Work effectively with sound engineers, mastering engineers, and other technical personnel to achieve desired audio quality.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring efficient use of resources and on-schedule delivery.
  • Stay updated with current music trends, production techniques, and audio technologies to ensure innovative and competitive output.
  • Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to emerging artists and team members within the studio.
  • Ensure all productions comply with relevant legal and ethical standards, including copyright and licensing.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Music Producer with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Expert proficiency in Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Ableton Live, or FL Studio.
  • In-depth knowledge of music theory, arrangement, composition, and sound design.
  • Exceptional ear for detail, critical listening skills, and a strong understanding of audio mixing and mastering principles.
  • Strong leadership and project management abilities, with a track record of meeting deadlines and managing budgets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring and collaborating with diverse artistic talent.
  • Ability to adapt to various musical genres and production styles.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and creative thinking under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Music Production, Audio Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications in specific DAWs or audio engineering software.
  • Experience with live sound production or scoring for film/television.
  • Proficiency in multiple instruments.
  • Network of industry contacts (artists, engineers, session musicians).
