Career.zycto is actively seeking an experienced Commercial Storefront Glazier to join a dynamic team working on impactful projects across the Denver Metro area, including the vibrant community of Sheridan Green, Westminster. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the precise installation, repair, and replacement of glass in commercial storefronts, curtain walls, entrances, and other architectural glass systems. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that all installations meet stringent industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. You will interpret blueprints, measure and cut glass and glazing materials accurately, and skillfully install frames, hardware, and seals to create visually appealing and structurally sound glass facades. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately measure, cut, and install various types of glass and glazing systems for commercial storefronts.
  • Install and repair aluminum framing, curtain wall systems, tempered glass entrances, and automatic door hardware.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and shop drawings to determine project specifications and material requirements.
  • Prepare and clean installation sites, including removing old glass, sealants, and frames.
  • Apply sealants, caulking, and weather-stripping to ensure watertight and airtight installations.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently, including glass cutters, grinders, drills, and lifting equipment.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and building codes to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with project managers, general contractors, and other tradespeople.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on glazing equipment and tools.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished installations to ensure precision, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Commercial Glazier or similar role.
  • Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and installing various types of glass (tempered, laminated, insulated).
  • Strong understanding of commercial glazing systems, including storefronts, curtain walls, and entrances.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and architectural plans.
  • Skilled in using glazier tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes, safety regulations, and OSHA standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy glass panels and work in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of a Glazier apprenticeship program or vocational training.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Experience with specialty glass applications (e.g., bullet-resistant, fire-rated glass).
  • Familiarity with various types of sealants and their applications.
  • Experience leading a small crew or mentoring junior glaziers.
