Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Retail Support Assistant to join our vibrant team at a high-street store located in the heart of Notting Hill, London. Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with product inquiries, locating items, and providing advice to enhance their shopping experience.
- Manage incoming stock deliveries, including unpacking, checking for discrepancies, and accurately logging items into the inventory system.
- Organize and maintain the stockroom, ensuring it is tidy, well-organised, and easy to navigate for efficient stock retrieval.
- Execute visual merchandising directives to create attractive and engaging store displays that drive sales and reflect brand standards.
- Ensure the sales floor is consistently replenished, clean, and appealing to customers throughout trading hours.
- Process transactions accurately using the POS system, handling cash, card, and other payment methods efficiently.
- Support the management team with administrative tasks, reporting, and store operational duties as required.
- Actively participate in team meetings and training sessions to improve product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and security policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
Required Skills
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment (minimum 6 months)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Basic computer literacy for POS systems and inventory management
- Physical stamina to handle stock, stand for extended periods, and lift moderate weights
Preferred Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
- Experience with visual merchandising or stock management systems
- A genuine passion for the retail industry and current trends
