Job Description

This role at Career.zycto offers an immediate opportunity for a highly motivated and skilled Systems Engineer to join our dedicated Technical Support team. You will be the frontline expert, diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues across a wide array of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), network configurations (routers, firewalls, switches), and software applications (virtualization platforms, databases, cloud services like Azure/AWS). Your responsibilities will span from intricate server management, including patching and updates, to intricate network protocol analysis and the deployment and optimization of cloud-based solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for complex system issues across multiple platforms.
  • Manage, monitor, and maintain server infrastructure, including Windows Server and various Linux distributions.
  • Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Implement and manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V).
  • Administer and support cloud environments, particularly Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Perform routine system backups, conduct disaster recovery planning, and execute recovery procedures.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, knowledge base articles, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with development, project management, and client teams on system integrations and deployments.
  • Ensure strict adherence to security policies, implement best practices, and safeguard client data and infrastructure.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide critical incident response and support outside of regular business hours.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Windows Server administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP).
  • Extensive experience with Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, routing).
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
  • Scripting skills for automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Excellent problem-solving, diagnostic, and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and technical support.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, RHCSA, Azure Administrator Associate, AWS SysOps Administrator).
  • Experience with ITIL framework and service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk).
  • Knowledge of database administration concepts (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds).
