Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients as directed by the kitchen staff.
- Assist cooks and chefs with various food preparation duties to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing workstations, and storing equipment properly.
- Monitor and rotate food inventory, ensuring proper storage and minimizing waste.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations and standards.
- Assist in receiving and stocking deliveries, ensuring items are checked for quality and stored correctly.
- Support the culinary team during peak service hours, maintaining a positive and cooperative attitude.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
