Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead engineers with studio setup and tear-down for recording sessions, including microphone placement and cable management.
  • Perform equipment calibration, testing, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Organize and maintain the studio's extensive collection of microphones, cables, instruments, and other audio gear.
  • Provide technical and administrative support during recording, mixing, and mastering sessions.
  • Ensure the studio environment is clean, organized, and ready for all scheduled sessions.
  • Assist with patchbay routing and signal flow management.
  • Prepare session files, track sheets, and documentation as required.
  • Shadow and learn from senior engineers, actively seeking opportunities for skill development.
  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues that may arise during sessions.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, ensuring their comfort and needs are met during sessions.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of audio signal flow and recording principles.
  • Familiarity with digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton Live.
  • Strong passion for music and audio production.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
