Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead engineers with studio setup and tear-down for recording sessions, including microphone placement and cable management.
- Perform equipment calibration, testing, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Organize and maintain the studio's extensive collection of microphones, cables, instruments, and other audio gear.
- Provide technical and administrative support during recording, mixing, and mastering sessions.
- Ensure the studio environment is clean, organized, and ready for all scheduled sessions.
- Assist with patchbay routing and signal flow management.
- Prepare session files, track sheets, and documentation as required.
- Shadow and learn from senior engineers, actively seeking opportunities for skill development.
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues that may arise during sessions.
- Act as a point of contact for clients, ensuring their comfort and needs are met during sessions.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of audio signal flow and recording principles.
- Familiarity with digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton Live.
- Strong passion for music and audio production.
