Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Grant Funding Coordinator to join our growing team in York, Toronto. As a Grant Funding Coordinator, you will be instrumental in identifying grant opportunities, meticulously preparing compelling applications, and managing the entire grant lifecycle from research to reporting. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research to identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and corporate giving programs relevant to client missions.
- Draft, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents, ensuring adherence to all funder guidelines and deadlines.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather necessary information, data, and narratives for compelling grant applications.
- Develop and maintain a robust grants calendar, tracking application statuses, reporting requirements, and upcoming deadlines.
- Prepare detailed reports on grant outcomes, utilization of funds, and project progress for funders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Build and nurture relationships with grantors and program officers, representing Career.zycto and its clients professionally.
- Maintain organized records of all grant activities, submissions, and communications in a centralized database.
- Stay informed about current trends in philanthropy, funding landscapes, and best practices in grant writing and management.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in grant writing, grant management, or a related fundraising role.
- Demonstrated success in securing grant funding from various sources.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and persuasive writing ability.
- Strong research skills to identify and evaluate funding opportunities.
- Proficiency in project management and organizational tools, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Familiarity with the non-profit sector and understanding of philanthropic trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and grant database software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Non-Profit Management, or a related field.
