Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead engineers with the setup and tear-down of microphones, cables, and other studio equipment for vocal recording sessions.
- Perform basic equipment checks and troubleshoot minor technical issues to ensure optimal session flow.
- Organize and maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the control room, vocal booth, and other studio areas.
- Accurately log session details, takes, and engineer notes for efficient post-production.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling, organizing files, and managing studio supplies.
- Ensure client comfort and satisfaction, offering assistance with studio amenities and hospitality.
- Learn and apply best practices for signal flow, mic placement, and session management under supervision.
- Support the archiving and retrieval of session files and project data.
- Actively observe and learn from experienced engineers during live recording, mixing, and mastering sessions.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated passion for music, audio production, and recording arts.
- Basic understanding of audio equipment, including microphones, preamps, and interfaces.
- Familiarity with at least one major Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton Live.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions precisely.
