Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and proactive Network Operations Aide to join our fully remote team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with foundational IT knowledge and a keen interest in network infrastructure to contribute to the reliable operation of our systems. As a Network Operations Aide, you will be the eyes and ears of our network, responsible for monitoring system performance, responding to alerts, and escalating issues as needed. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous availability and optimal performance of our network services, supporting our clients and internal operations.
This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service. You will work collaboratively with senior network engineers and IT support specialists to identify and resolve network incidents, perform routine maintenance tasks, and document operational procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network systems and applications using various monitoring tools to detect and identify anomalies.
- Respond to network alerts and notifications, performing initial troubleshooting to diagnose issues.
- Escalate critical network incidents to senior engineers and relevant teams in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all network incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in ticketing systems.
- Assist in the implementation of network changes and configurations under the guidance of senior staff.
- Perform routine health checks and preventative maintenance tasks on network devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery and problem resolution.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of operational procedures and documentation.
Required Skills
- 1+ year of experience in a technical support or network operations role.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP).
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
- Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- CompTIA Network+ or CCNA certification (or actively working towards one).
- Experience with cloud networking platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
