Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior VFX artists and supervisors with various tasks, including rotoscoping, matte extraction, and plate preparation.
  • Manage and organize digital assets, ensuring proper naming conventions, file structures, and version control are maintained.
  • Perform basic compositing tasks and clean-up work under direct supervision.
  • Support render farm management, submitting and monitoring jobs to ensure timely delivery of rendered sequences.
  • Conduct quality control checks on rendered elements and finished shots, identifying technical issues or inconsistencies.
  • Learn and apply new software, tools, and studio pipelines effectively.
  • Maintain clear and concise communication with team members regarding project status and task progression.
  • Support general studio operations as needed, contributing to a positive and efficient working environment.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of visual effects pipelines and terminology.
  • Familiarity with common VFX software such as Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, or Nuke.
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for visual accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work effectively within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to learning.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Film Production, Animation, Visual Effects, or a related creative field.
  • A compelling portfolio showcasing personal or student VFX projects, demonstrating potential.
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., ShotGrid, Trello).
  • Basic knowledge of scripting languages like Python is a plus.
