Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load parcels into your delivery vehicle at the start of your shift.
- Follow pre-determined routes to deliver parcels to designated residential and commercial addresses.
- Ensure timely delivery of all assigned packages while adhering to schedule and traffic regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions, handling inquiries and resolving minor delivery issues professionally.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintain the cleanliness of your assigned delivery van.
- Accurately record delivery information, including signatures and proof of delivery, using handheld devices.
- Handle parcels with care to prevent damage during transit and delivery.
- Communicate any delays, issues, or route changes to the dispatch team promptly.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and company policies at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid UK Driving License (Category B) with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong work ethic and a reliable, punctual nature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good physical stamina, capable of lifting and carrying parcels of various sizes and weights.
- Comfortable working independently and managing a demanding schedule.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
