Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to various destinations within Knaresborough and surrounding areas.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety regulations at all times.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, utilizing navigation tools effectively.
- Ensure the careful handling and secure transport of all packages to prevent damage.
- Verify order accuracy against delivery manifests and obtain customer signatures upon delivery where required.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the delivery vehicle.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license (Category B) with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Proven safe driving record.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to use GPS and navigation applications effectively.
- Physical capability to lift and carry packages of varying weights (up to 25kg).

- Previous experience in a delivery or courier role.
