Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Automation Engineer to join our innovative team in Poplar Springs, Meridian. As an Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems across various platforms and applications, ranging from software deployment pipelines to industrial control systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to identify automation opportunities and integrate cutting-edge tools and methodologies. You’ll troubleshoot and debug automation scripts and systems, proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing preventative measures. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain robust automation scripts and systems for various applications (e.g., testing, deployment, infrastructure provisioning).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, operations, QA) to understand requirements and integrate automation into existing workflows.
  • Perform root cause analysis for automation failures and implement corrective and preventative measures.
  • Optimize existing automation frameworks and processes for improved performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for automated systems, including design specifications, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Stay abreast of emerging automation technologies, tools, and best practices, evaluating their potential application within Career.zycto's projects.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on automation methodologies and tools.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in automation engineering or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Java, C#).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and concepts (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud automation tools.
  • Knowledge of industrial automation systems (PLCs, SCADA, DCS) for relevant projects.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Certification in relevant automation or cloud technologies.
