Career.zycto is offering an exceptional opportunity for an Entry-Level SOC Analyst to join our growing Security Operations Center team in Redcar, North Yorkshire. As an Entry-Level SOC Analyst, you will be a crucial part of our defense mechanism, responsible for monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to cyber threats. You will work within a supportive and collaborative environment, receiving comprehensive training and mentorship from experienced cybersecurity professionals. This position is designed to build your foundational knowledge in security operations, threat intelligence, incident response, and vulnerability management. You will learn to identify suspicious activities, investigate security alerts, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our security posture. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and tools for alerts, anomalies, and potential security incidents.
- Perform initial triage and analysis of security events and alerts to determine severity and impact.
- Escalate identified security incidents to senior analysts or incident response teams following established protocols.
- Assist in the documentation of security incidents, analysis findings, and incident response procedures.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of security monitoring rules and playbooks.
- Participate in training sessions and self-study to enhance cybersecurity knowledge and skills.
- Maintain awareness of current cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack methodologies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure effective and efficient security operations.
- Support security audits and compliance initiatives as required.
Required Skills
