Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas (lobbies, hallways, dining areas) to the highest standards of hygiene and presentation.
- Change bed linen, towels, and replenish room supplies, toiletries, and amenities accurately and efficiently.
- Vacuum carpets, mop floors, dust furniture, polish surfaces, and clean windows as required.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Maintain an organised and well-stocked housekeeping cart, ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including COSHH guidelines for chemical use.
- Handle guest requests and inquiries politely and professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
- Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, and folding linen, where applicable.
- Contribute to a positive and cooperative working environment with colleagues and other hotel departments.
- Follow lost and found procedures meticulously.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Housekeeper or similar role in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Excellent attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring standing, bending, lifting, and pushing.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of English for communication with guests and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a 3-star or 4-star hotel environment.
- Knowledge of various cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Experience with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations.
- Formal training in hospitality or housekeeping.
