Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred care and support to clients in their own homes, adhering to individual care plans.
  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, and grooming, whilst promoting independence.
  • Support with mobility and transfers, using equipment as required and ensuring client safety.
  • Administer medication as prescribed, following strict protocols and training.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding, considering dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Perform light domestic duties and household tasks to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Offer companionship and engage in social activities to prevent isolation and promote well-being.
  • Assist with shopping and errands, ensuring clients have access to essential items.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided, reporting any concerns or changes in a client's condition to the care coordinator.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety and safeguarding.

  • Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle (due to home visits across Bentley and surrounding areas).

Preferred Qualifications

  • No formal qualifications required, as full training will be provided.
  • Previous experience in a caring role (personal or professional) is a bonus but not essential.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable but not mandatory for this beginner role.
  • Basic IT literacy for record-keeping and communication.
