Key Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold a variety of linens, towels, and uniforms according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and presses, ensuring safe and efficient use.
- Inspect all items for stains, damage, or wear and tear, pre-treating as necessary before washing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Monitor laundry supply levels and communicate needs to supervisors to ensure adequate stock.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues promptly to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull laundry carts and bags weighing up to 25 lbs (11 kg) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
