Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, provide professional assistance, and engage in genuine conversations to understand their preferences and needs.
- Actively promote products and services, showcasing features and benefits, and confidently closing sales to achieve daily and weekly targets.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash, credit card payments, and managing returns/exchanges.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor, including merchandising displays, restocking shelves, and ensuring all products are correctly priced and labeled.
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as receiving deliveries, checking stock levels, conducting stock counts, and identifying fast-moving or slow-moving items.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints politely and effectively, and escalate complex issues to management when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations, contribute to a positive work environment, and support promotional activities.
Required Skills
- Proven customer service experience, demonstrating a helpful and positive attitude.
- Basic understanding of sales techniques and a strong desire to meet and exceed targets.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills in English and Creole.
- Proficiency in operating POS systems and handling cash transactions accurately.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented retail environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for merchandising and stock management.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderately heavy items.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in a retail sales environment.
- Familiarity with specific product categories relevant to our store (e.g., fashion, electronics, home goods).
- Proficiency in additional languages such as French.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
