Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Electrician to join our growing team. In this full-time role, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality electrical solutions from conception to completion. You will work on a diverse range of commercial settings, including offices, retail units, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities. Your day-to-day will involve interpreting technical drawings, installing wiring systems, conduits, and equipment, performing testing, commissioning, and ensuring all work adheres strictly to BS 7671 (18th Edition) wiring regulations and relevant health and safety standards. Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in commercial buildings.
- Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications to determine layout of electrical wiring and equipment.
- Perform diagnostic testing and fault finding on electrical systems to identify and resolve issues.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with BS 7671 (18th Edition) wiring regulations and health and safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical infrastructure.
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage and procure materials and equipment required for electrical installations.
- Complete all necessary documentation, including test certificates and project reports.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a commercial Electrician.
- Full UK driving licence.
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations in electrical work.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification.
- Experience with fire alarm systems, CCTV, and data cabling.
- IPAF or PASMA certification.
- First Aid certification.
