Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist patients with over-the-counter medication selection and provide clear, concise advice.
- Process prescriptions, maintain patient records, and handle insurance inquiries with confidentiality.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Prepare and label medications, ensuring correct dosages and clear instructions.
- Support pharmacists in various administrative tasks and patient care initiatives.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and pharmacy regulations and best practices.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification.
- GPhC registration or eligibility for registration.
- Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably within a community pharmacy setting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- A strong commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical practice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronic prescribing systems.
- Knowledge of local health initiatives and patient support programmes.
- First Aid certification.
