Job Description
Career.zycto is actively seeking motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Picking Aides to join our dynamic teams across various client sites in Windsor, Ontario. As a Warehouse Picking Aide, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our clients’ distribution and fulfillment centers. Your primary responsibility will involve accurately selecting, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment, ensuring that all items meet quality standards and are dispatched on time.
This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be utilizing various equipment, including scan guns and potentially pallet jacks (training provided if needed), to navigate warehouse aisles and retrieve products. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and retrieve products from warehouse locations according to order sheets or scanner instructions.
- Verify product quantities and ensure items are free from damage or defects.
- Safely operate manual and powered material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks or pump trucks (with proper training).
- Pack items securely into appropriate containers, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Prepare completed orders for shipment, including palletizing and wrapping as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Reliable transportation to various client locations in Windsor, ON.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar production environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or RF scanners.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, reach truck) is an asset, but not required.
