Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload packages from company vehicles.
- Navigate predetermined routes in the Clearbrook, Abbotsford area using GPS and company-provided technology.
- Deliver packages to customers' homes and businesses in a timely and professional manner.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety standards at all times.
- Scan and document packages accurately upon delivery, including obtaining signatures when required.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of company delivery vehicles.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns politely and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members regarding delivery status or issues.
- Handle packages with care to prevent damage and ensure secure delivery.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
- Familiarity with smartphone-based navigation and delivery apps (training provided).
- A positive attitude and a customer-focused approach.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service or similar public-facing role.
- Basic knowledge of the Clearbrook, Abbotsford geographic area.
- Ability to adapt to changing weather conditions and dynamic route demands.
