Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming stock and materials, ensuring accuracy against invoices and packing lists.
- Organize and store items in the warehouse according to safety, space optimization, and company guidelines.
- Perform regular stock counts and maintain accurate inventory records using our management system and physical checks.
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, and ensure proper documentation for shipping).
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently (if certified/trained and required).
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or other stock-related issues.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and operational efficiency.
- Support periodic inventory audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1.5 years) as a Warehouse Stock Clerk or in a similar inventory management role.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and accurate data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certification in operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, reach truck).
- Familiarity with safety standards and procedures specific to a warehouse setting.
- Previous experience in a logistics, supply chain, or retail distribution environment.
- A valid driver's license.
