Key Responsibilities

  • Create detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings and models using CAD software.
  • Assist engineers in preparing design layouts, schematics, and other visual aids.
  • Review and verify designs for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company standards and industry specifications.
  • Incorporate changes and modifications to existing drawings as directed by senior engineers.
  • Maintain organized digital files and documentation of all design work.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and assembly-friendly.
  • Learn and apply drafting standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Perform basic calculations to support design elements.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical drafting principles and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
