Job Description
Career.zycto is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated and enthusiastic Entry-Level Civil Drafter to join our growing team in West Park, Cape Girardeau. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual who is eager to begin their career in civil engineering design and contribute to meaningful infrastructure projects. As an Entry-Level Civil Drafter, you will play a crucial role in transforming conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings that guide construction. You will work closely with senior engineers and project managers, learning the intricacies of various civil engineering disciplines, including land development, stormwater management, transportation, and utility design.
We are looking for someone with a strong foundational understanding of drafting principles and a keen eye for detail. While prior professional experience is not required, a demonstrable passion for civil engineering and a solid grasp of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software are essential. You will be instrumental in preparing site plans, grading plans, utility layouts, erosion control plans, and various other schematic and construction documents. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior drafters and engineers in preparing civil engineering plans and profiles using AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
- Develop detailed drawings for various civil projects, including site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways.
- Ensure all drafting work adheres to project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform revisions and modifications to existing drawings based on redlines and client feedback.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation, including drawings, specifications, and related data.
- Collaborate effectively with project teams, including engineers, surveyors, and other drafters.
- Participate in project meetings to understand design intent and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
- Learn and apply company drafting standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Conduct basic research to gather necessary data for drafting tasks, such as existing conditions or topographical information.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge of civil engineering design principles.
Required Skills
