Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking dedicated Order Pickers to join our growing logistics team in Roche Bois, Port Louis. This vital role is at the heart of our operations, ensuring that goods are efficiently and accurately prepared for dispatch to our valued customers, playing a direct part in our supply chain’s success.
As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for locating and selecting products from designated storage areas based on electronic or paper pick lists, ensuring accuracy in quantity, item specifications, and batch numbers. Your ability to work swiftly and precisely will be crucial in maintaining our high standards of operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. You’ll be operating in a fast-paced setting, using various material handling equipment such as manual and electric pallet jacks, and potentially forklifts (comprehensive training and certification will be provided if needed) to move products safely and effectively across the warehouse floor. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to meeting daily targets.

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and prepare customer orders according to pick lists or WMS instructions.
- Operate various warehouse equipment (e.g., manual/electric pallet jacks, potentially forklifts) safely and efficiently.
- Ensure products are correctly scanned, labeled, and staged for shipment.
- Conduct quality checks on items to ensure they meet specifications and are free from damage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to 5S principles.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
- Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, and replenishment tasks as required.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding order status, discrepancies, or potential issues.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms, pick lists, and product codes.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 25 kg repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for accurate record-keeping.
- Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (1+ year) as an Order Picker or in a general warehouse role.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
- Forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain certification through company training.
- Secondary School Certificate (Form 5 or equivalent).
- Knowledge of basic inventory procedures and stock control practices.
