Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of designated premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, fire, and vandalism.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, equipment, and access points.
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances, reporting any suspicious activities or incidents.
- Enforce property rules and regulations, ensuring compliance and addressing violations appropriately.
- Complete accurate and detailed incident reports, daily logs, and other required documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to clients, employees, and visitors.
- Collaborate with emergency services personnel when necessary.
- Maintain a high level of vigilance and situational awareness at all times.
- Assist in emergency situations by directing personnel and securing areas.
Required Skills
- Ability to obtain a valid BC Security Worker License (we provide guidance and support for this process).
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Customer service experience.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
