Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor manufacturing machinery and equipment according to specifications.
- Perform assembly of components, ensuring precision and adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct regular quality checks on products, identifying and reporting any defects or inconsistencies.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation and general production area.
- Assist with material handling, including loading and unloading materials and products.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on equipment and report major mechanical issues to supervisors.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to follow detailed instructions and production schedules accurately.
- Strong understanding and commitment to workplace safety procedures and protocols.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, or nights, as required.
- Basic English communication skills (reading, writing, and verbal comprehension).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (1+ year) in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment.
- Forklift certification or experience operating other material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or 5S methodology.
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent educational background.
- First aid certification is an asset.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings or blueprints.
