Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior analysts in monitoring security alerts and events from various security systems (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR).
- Conduct initial triage and investigation of security incidents, identifying potential threats and anomalies.
- Help document security incidents, findings, and remediation steps in a clear and concise manner.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities under supervision.
- Research emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to stay informed.
- Support the development and improvement of security processes, procedures, and documentation.
- Collaborate with IT and other teams to implement security controls and remediate identified issues.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development to enhance cybersecurity skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, routers).
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and command-line interfaces.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated passion for cybersecurity and a willingness to learn.
