Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Photography Assistant to join our talent pool, supporting various photographic projects across Marrupa, Niassa Province. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead photographers with setup and breakdown of photography equipment, including cameras, lighting, backdrops, and props.
- Manage and organize photography gear, ensuring all equipment is clean, charged, and in proper working order before and after shoots.
- Support photographers during shoots by holding reflectors, diffusers, or lights, adjusting settings, and capturing behind-the-scenes content.
- Help with posing subjects and directing talent as needed, maintaining a comfortable and professional atmosphere.
- Perform basic photo editing tasks, including culling, cropping, and color correction, using industry-standard software.
- Assist with file management, backing up images, and preparing deliverables for clients.
- Research and scout potential shoot locations, ensuring suitability for project requirements.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, coordinating logistics, and communicating with clients or subjects.
- Maintain a keen awareness of industry trends and continuously seek opportunities to enhance technical and creative skills.
- Ensure compliance with project timelines and deliver high-quality support on all assignments.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of photographic techniques and camera operation (DSLR/Mirrorless).
- Proficiency with photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Physical ability to carry and set up photography equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation (preferred, but not strictly required for Marrupa).
