Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of various food items according to standardized recipes and portion control guidelines.
- Serve meals to students and staff in an efficient and friendly manner, maintaining excellent customer service.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, warmers, and dishwashers safely and effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, serving areas, and dining facilities.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
- Receive, store, and inventory food and supplies, ensuring proper rotation and minimizing waste.
- Follow all food safety and health regulations, including proper handling, storage, and temperature control.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down serving lines and dining areas.
- Perform routine cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
Required Skills

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Prior experience in customer service or a similar public-facing role.
- Current Miami-Dade County Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to obtain one upon hire).
