Key Responsibilities
- Design, install, configure, and maintain database servers and systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimization strategies to ensure high availability and efficiency.
- Implement and manage database security measures, including user access controls, encryption, patching, and vulnerability management.
- Develop, implement, and test database backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
- Perform regular database audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries, schema design, and application integration.
- Manage database capacity planning, storage allocation, and data archiving strategies.

Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator with a strong focus on data security.
- In-depth knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Solid understanding of database security principles, including access control, encryption, auditing, and vulnerability management.
- Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for database automation.
