Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Cybersecurity Analyst with a strong focus on protection and risk management to join our growing team in Port Louis. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our organizational and client data, systems, and networks against an evolving landscape of cyber threats. This position demands a proactive individual who can not only respond to security incidents but also anticipate potential vulnerabilities and implement robust preventative measures. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive risk assessments, developing security policies, and ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning of systems, applications, and networks.
  • Monitor security systems for anomalies, incidents, and potential breaches, responding swiftly and effectively to mitigate threats.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate controls to reduce exposure.
  • Participate in incident response planning, execution, and post-incident analysis to continuously improve security posture.
  • Manage and configure security tools such as SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on cybersecurity best practices to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to proactively adapt defense strategies.
  • Assist in security awareness training initiatives for employees to foster a security-conscious culture.
  • Document security incidents, investigations, and remediation steps thoroughly.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in network security protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Firewalls, IDS/IPS).
  • Experience with vulnerability management tools and methodologies (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, OWASP Top 10).
  • Solid understanding of risk management frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Demonstrated experience in incident response and security incident handling.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, Linux) and cloud security principles (Azure, AWS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CySA+, CISSP, CISM.
  • Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, local data protection acts).
  • Experience in an IT consulting or managed security service environment.
