Key Responsibilities
- Accurately picking and packing items according to order specifications and client requirements.
- Preparing outgoing shipments by labelling and ensuring proper packaging to prevent damage during transit.
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, manually or using appropriate equipment when certified.
- Performing quality checks on products before packing to identify and report any discrepancies or damages.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment, adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations.
- Operating warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and efficiently, following training.
- Assisting with inventory counts and stock rotation as required, contributing to accurate stock management.
- Collaborating effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily packing targets and operational goals.
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or stock issues promptly to management.
- Ensuring all packed goods are correctly staged for distribution and ready for the next phase of the supply chain.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 20kg repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced night shift environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members.
