Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload a variety of heavy goods onto and off delivery vehicles.
- Verify product accuracy against manifests and delivery notes, reporting discrepancies promptly.
- Secure goods appropriately within vehicles using straps, restraints, and other equipment to prevent damage during transit.
- Operate manual handling equipment such as pallet trucks and sack barrows safely and proficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all company health and safety policies, particularly those related to manual handling and warehouse operations.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring clear access routes for colleagues and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, drivers, and supervisors to coordinate loading schedules.
- Conduct pre-shift checks on equipment and report any faults or maintenance needs.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required, including picking and packing.
