Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Intelligence Analyst to join our growing team in Strathfield, Sydney. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions across the organization. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including sales, marketing, operations, and finance, to understand their unique reporting and analytical needs, subsequently delivering robust and intuitive solutions.
Your day-to-day will involve the full lifecycle of BI development: from designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports using leading BI tools, to ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility. You will dive deep into large, diverse datasets, identifying key trends, uncovering hidden patterns, and pinpointing anomalies that require further investigation. A critical aspect of this role is your ability to translate complex analytical findings into compelling, easy-to-understand narratives for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Gather and interpret business requirements from various stakeholders to translate them into technical specifications and BI solutions.
- Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all reporting and analytical outputs.
- Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to optimize data sources, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
- Develop and maintain documentation for BI solutions, data models, and reporting standards.
- Present findings and recommendations to diverse audiences, clearly communicating complex data in an understandable manner.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and new analytical capabilities.
- Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and reports.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Strong experience with a leading Business Intelligence platform (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, QlikView).
- Demonstrated experience in data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with relational databases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
- Familiarity with Python or R for advanced analytics and data manipulation.
