Job Description
Career.zycto is on the lookout for a talented and passionate Oracle Database Developer to join our growing technology team in Ashfield, Sydney. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement complex Oracle database objects including tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.
- Perform database performance tuning, optimization, and query optimization to ensure high availability and responsiveness of applications.
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate database solutions with application logic and API layers.
- Develop and maintain robust ETL processes for data integration and warehousing initiatives.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
- Participate in database schema design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for existing Oracle database systems.
- Create and maintain comprehensive database documentation, including data dictionaries and architectural diagrams.
- Stay current with Oracle technologies, database best practices, and industry trends.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Oracle Database versions 12c, 19c, or higher.
- Strong expertise in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques (explain plans, AWR, ADDM).
- Familiarity with database design principles and data modeling.
- Understanding of database security best practices.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
