Key Responsibilities
- Assist drivers with loading and unloading packages, parcels, and other items from the delivery vehicle.
- Navigate and confirm delivery routes, ensuring efficient and timely drop-offs.
- Safely handle and transport a variety of goods, ensuring their integrity from warehouse to customer.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, communicating professionally and courteously.
- Verify correct addresses and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as road safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organised delivery vehicle interior.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatch, and customers to resolve any delivery issues.
- Support the driver in maintaining delivery schedules and meeting daily targets.
- Assist with routine vehicle checks and reporting any maintenance concerns.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 25kg frequently throughout the day.
- Strong physical stamina and endurance for a demanding, active role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A reliable and punctual work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling deliveries.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for recording delivery information.
