Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior tailors and designers in the construction of garments, including cutting, stitching, and finishing.
- Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines, overlockers, and other tailoring equipment.
- Interpret patterns, design sketches, and technical drawings to create precise garment components.
- Perform alterations and adjustments to achieve desired fit and aesthetic under supervision.
- Ensure the quality and precision of all sewn seams, hems, and garment details.
- Manage fabric handling, cutting, and storage with care and efficiency.
- Participate in fitting sessions, taking notes and assisting with pinning and adjustments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Collaborate effectively with the design team to understand creative visions and translate them into finished products.
- Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge of new tailoring techniques and trends.
