Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and develop innovative set designs based on project briefs, creative visions, and budgetary constraints.
- Produce detailed sketches, renderings, 3D models, and technical drawings for set construction.
- Source and select appropriate materials, props, and furnishings, considering aesthetics, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with directors, producers, lighting technicians, and other team members to ensure design coherence and practical feasibility.
- Oversee the construction, dressing, and dismantling of sets, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
- Manage and maintain prop inventory and set elements, ensuring they are well-organized and readily available.
- Stay updated with current design trends, materials, and production techniques in the industry.
- Solve creative and logistical challenges that arise during the design and build process.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and provide creative input for visual storytelling.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite).
