As a Delivery Driver, you will be the face of Career.zycto, playing a critical role in ensuring our products reach our valued customers efficiently and intact. You’ll navigate the diverse streets of Vancouver, primarily focusing on the Kitsilano neighbourhood and surrounding areas, delivering packages with a smile and a positive attitude. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company vehicle to deliver packages to customers within the designated service area.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Verify order accuracy and collect necessary signatures or proof of delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle, performing routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status or issues.
- Handle packages with care, ensuring they arrive at their destination in perfect condition.
- Manage delivery routes and schedules to optimize time and meet delivery deadlines.
- Provide exceptional customer service during every interaction, representing Career.zycto professionally.
- Accurately complete delivery logs and necessary paperwork or digital records.
- Adapt to changing traffic conditions, delivery schedules, and customer requests with a positive attitude.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driver's License (or equivalent).
- Clean driving record with no major infractions.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable using GPS and navigation applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the Kitsilano and greater Vancouver area.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for vehicle checks.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
